Terms of service
effective 2026-07-21 · covers this website and the Koinonia: Parish Life app
These terms are an agreement between you and Kratos Applications. They cover this website and the Koinonia: Parish Life application. By using either, you accept them. We have kept them short and in plain language on purpose.
This website
- The site's content (text, design, imagery, the Kratos and Koinonia names and marks) belongs to Kratos Applications. You may read, link to, and share it; you may not pass it off as your own.
- The site is provided as is, without warranties. Links to other sites are for reference and are not endorsements.
- Do not attack, probe, or bulk-scrape the site.
Koinonia: Parish Life
Accounts
- You must be at least 13 years old to hold an account.
- Register with accurate information, keep your credentials to yourself, and use one account per person. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
Parish membership
The community features (directory, messaging, announcements, pastoral requests) belong to a specific parish community. Access to them is granted, and can be revoked, by your parish's clergy and administrators. Kratos does not decide who belongs to a parish.
Your content
- You own what you post: messages, photos, and profile details. You grant Kratos the license needed to store and display that content within the service, to you and to the parish members allowed to see it, and nothing more.
- Do not post anything unlawful, harassing, or deceptive, and do not share another person's private information without their consent.
- The parish directory exists for parish life. Use the contact details in it for the community's purposes, not for marketing, solicitation, or anything the member would not expect.
Pastoral features
Appointment requests, care flags, and visit notes are scheduling and communication tools for your parish. They are not a substitute for speaking with your priest directly, and they are not monitored in real time. In an emergency, contact emergency services, not the app.
Parish records
Sacramental and membership records kept in Koinonia are the parish's own records, maintained under the direction of its clergy. Questions or disputes about their content belong with the parish, not with Kratos.
State of the service
Koinonia is in active development with a pilot parish. Features will change, and the service may pause for maintenance. We run it with care and reasonable effort, but at this stage we do not promise uninterrupted availability.
Termination
You may stop using the service and request account deletion at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms or put other members at risk, and your parish may withdraw your membership in its community.
Liability
The service is provided as is and as available. To the maximum extent the law allows, Kratos Applications is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the site or the app, and our total liability is capped at one hundred US dollars. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
Changes and contact
We will update these terms as the product grows and announce material changes on this site and in the app. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms. Questions: alex@kratosapplications.com orjohnny@kratosapplications.com.
